If you're performing an action using a discipline in which an ally is specialized in, they can choose to help you out, by spending their energy to help boost your roll (at their rate), this is known as helpful assist. Once you pay the cost of an action (if any) and make a roll, you can also spend your energy to boost your roll result, increasing the value akin to your grit or nerve score. They are Fortune-a full success (top number), Temperance-a partial or success at consequence (bottom number), and if you fail to beat temperance you get a Judgment result (failure or success at full consequence).Ī large majority of actions drifters perform will use their Energy to perform.
